Summary Mother of slain TikToker Sana Yousaf says she attempted suicide multiple times as family still awaits justice nearly a year after her daughter’s murder in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The mother of slain TikToker Sana Yousaf has said that even after nearly a year since her daughter’s murder, the family is still waiting for justice, revealing that she attempted suicide multiple times during this period.

Nearly a year has passed since the tragic killing of 17-year-old influencer Sana Yousaf in Islamabad, yet her family continues to await justice.

She was shot dead inside her home in June 2025, an incident that sparked widespread outrage across the country.

Speaking to the media, her mother expressed the depth of her grief, stating that there were moments when she considered ending her life, but the memory of her daughter gave her strength to carry on.

She said that she feels as if she dies every day and then lives again, adding that she tried to take her own life several times, but ultimately decided to live in order to seek justice for her daughter.

According to her, securing justice is also important so that other girls can feel safe and believe that no one would dare harm them, knowing that justice was served in Sana’s case.

The grieving mother said she had only one daughter, who was very brave, and she used to accompany her everywhere. She added that nearly a year has passed since the murder, but she has yet to receive justice and only wants strict punishment for the accused.

Responding to a question, she said her daughter’s only “fault” was that she had refused the accused, which he could not tolerate and allegedly killed her in front of her.

She further stated that while the courts have treated her well, a petition filed by the accused in the High Court has caused delays in the case.
