Summary PPP chairman says his family will make any official announcement

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has denied reports circulating on social media about his engagement and marriage.

The PPP chairman addressed the speculation in a video statement, making it clear that no such development has taken place. He also said that if he makes any major decision about his personal life, his family will make the official announcement.

Bilawal said social media had gone beyond speculation and effectively arranged his engagement and marriage without any basis. He clarified that neither his engagement had been finalised nor had any marriage taken place.

In his video statement, Bilawal said, “Social media has confirmed my engagement and even got me married.” He rejected the reports and stressed that there had been no such development.

He further clarified that there had been no formal commitment or engagement, addressing the rumours that had gained traction across social media platforms.

Bilawal also directly dismissed speculation linking him to someone identified online as Princess Gloria. In a post accompanying his statement, he said he did not know any Princess Gloria.

The PPP chairman said any major decision concerning his personal life would be formally communicated by his family.

“If there is any such decision in my life, my family will announce it,” Bilawal said, making clear that social media reports should not be treated as an official confirmation of his personal affairs.

Bilawal also criticised the social media speculation, describing it as a spectacle intended to divert public attention from real issues. “These spectacles on social media are meant to divert attention from real issues,” he said in his statement.
