Petitions for acquittal of Shehbaz and Cheema filed in accountability court

Fawad Hasan Fawad has already filed such application in court
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In an important development in Ashiana-e-Iqbal scam, lawyer Amjad Parvez filed the petitions for acquittal of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former bureaucrat Ahad Cheema.
It was argued in the petition that the corruption was not proved in the supplementary investigation report. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has declared the two innocent in the supplementary investigation report, the petition added.
In the application, the court was requested that there is no evidence against them.
On the other hand, former principal secretary to PM Fawad Hasan Fawad has also filed an acquittal petition in the Accountability Court Lahore. Likewise, accused Munir Zia, Ali Sajjad have also filed petitions for acquittal.
