LAHORE (Dunya News) - Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) head Advocate Azhar Siddique on Saturday wrote a letter to the president and the prime minister to improve facilities in jail for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan who has been serving his sentence for almost a year now.

"Imran Khan is not being provided due facilities according to the law. He is not even allowed to meet visitors," reads the letter.

Multiple questions pertaining to a lack of amenities have been raised in the letter.

It has been asked in the letter that basic facilities should be provided to Imran Khan or else the applicant may move court if the government fails to do so.

HUNGER STRIKE

A day earlier, a PTI leader claimed that Imran Khan could go on hunger strike against injustice being done to him.

Ali Muhammad Khan said the PTI founder could go on hunger strike in protest after consulting his colleagues. He asked why there was no political solution to these issues.

Meanwhile, the PTI founder said he would not bow and prefer death to submission. In his message to party leaders and workers ahead of Sunday's rally, Khan reiterated that the sole aim of his endeavours was Haqeeqi Azadi (true freedom).

The PTI founder resolved that there would be no compromise on real freedom (of the masses).
