Enough wait already: Bilawal says constitutional court to be formulated soon
HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Friday a constitutional court based on equality would be established soon.
He said the PPP would lead the efforts to win over all the political parties on its draft. In case of its failure in this regard, the PPP would spearhead the efforts to make the government-led move successful on the 26th amendment.
He made these remarks while addressing the PPP rally in the city where he said the former premier Benazir Bhutto returned to the country with an ideology and she wanted the Pakistanis to get the basic necessities (roti, kapra, makaan) of life.
He continued that it was one of the dreams of the deceased PM Bhutto to formulate a constitutional court bases on the charter of democracy and the purpose of this court would be to preserve the constitution of the country.
Talking about the constitutional court, he said the PM Bhutto wanted to achieve her vision because she knew in great details the justice system of Pakistan. That, PPP chief continued, almost every time, the courts in Pakistan have sided with the dictators and not with the constitution.
For this reason, he said he wanted the Pakistanis to know that the PPP would make every efforts possible to formulate a constitutional court.
