Maryam Nawaz sets target to build 20,000 houses in February

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Marryam Nawaz has announced construction of 20,000 houses across the province in February.
Under ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar' Programme, the Punjab government has already started work on the project.
During a review meeting, Rs8.20 billion in loans were approved for 9,015 houses, with 2,050 individual’s receiving the second installment of housing loans.
Currently, 4,841 houses are under construction, and the programme’s portal has received over 400,000 complete applications, with 728,000 visitors.

An eight-memebr committee has been formed to address Punjab’s housing needs and provide affordable solutions.
