Punjab govt organises Kashmir solidarity ceremony at Liberty Chowk

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The provincial government on Tuesday organised a Kashmir solidarity ceremony at Liberty Chowk.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz led the event as she lighted a candle of remembrance in honour of the Kashmiri struggle.
She also laid a floral wreath at the Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial to pay homage to their valour and sacrifices.
At the event, a symbolic moment of silence was observed, followed by special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and the besieged Kashmiri people.
The event featured a picture wall to remember Kashmir and large-scale billboards also depicted the Wall of Martyrs of Kashmir’s Freedom Movement
Also, a symbolic prison was created in which pictures of Kashmiri leaders and martyrs behind bars were displayed.
The event overall highlighted the oppression the Kashmiris have been enduring for the past seven decades.
