PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to former PTI MNA Major (R) Tahir Sadiq and barred the police and all relevant agencies from arresting him.
A two-page verdict was issued on Tahir Sadiq’s plea for protective bail. The court restrained Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab police, and all relevant agencies from taking him into custody.
According to the ruling, the petitioner's lawyer informed the court that Sadiq is currently in the U.S. and is returning to Pakistan.
The petitioner claimed that politically motivated cases have been filed against him to harass him.
Given these circumstances, the court granted protective bail and directed law enforcement agencies not to arrest him.
The Peshawar High Court adjourned further proceedings in the case until March 6.
