KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the physical remand of the accused for five days in the tragic Mustafa Amir murder case.

The court also ordered medical examination of accused Armaghan and Shiraz.

The two accused were produced in the ATC in Central Jail.

Advocate Abid Zaman represented Armaghan in the case.

Armaghan told the court that he was being maltreated in police custody. He said he was being denied meals and police officials mocked at him.

He said he had not been allowed to use washroom for 10 days – a claim challenged by the judge.

The investigating officer said police had found the girl, who had been tortured. Her statement would be recorded, said the officer.

The state counsel said money laundering and drugs investigation would be conducted.

Armaghan’s lawyer demanded medical examination of his client.

The judge allowed Armaghan to see his parents in court room.

Meanwhile, police submitted report in court about Armaghan’s arrest in a case of kidnap and arms’ possession.
