Naqvi assures CM Bugti of full support after Jaffar Express incident

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi stays in contact with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti after the horrific attack on the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express.
Naqvi expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident and assured the Balochistan chief minister of full support by the federal government. Both leaders lauded the security forces for their timely action.
Naqvi heaped praises on Bugti by saying that the Balochistan CM was a brave man.
Security forces have rescued 155 of the hostages and eliminated 27 terrorists after attack on train. Terrorists took passengers of the Jaffar Express hostage.
The Jaffar Express, carrying over 400 passengers in nine carriages, was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar when it was ambushed. Security sources said 155 people had been rescued and efforts were being made to save others.
Following the security forces' operation, the attackers split into small groups. Injured passengers were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
Sources revealed that the terrorists were in contact with their handlers in Afghanistan and using women and children as human shields, making the operation difficult.
On Tuesday, assailants bombed the railway track before boarding the train and opened fire on the locomotive, injuring the train driver.
