Petitions argued that the cases were filed as part of a political victimisation
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court has scheduled the hearing of former prime minister Imran Khan’s bail petitions in eight cases related to the May 9 events.
The petitions were filed through his lawyer, Salman Safdar. A division bench comprising Justice Syed Shahbaz Rizvi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh will hear the pleas on March 18.
The petitions argued that the cases were filed as part of a political victimisation and were based on false accusations.
It is noteworthy that he faces multiple cases, including Jinnah House attack, Askari Tower riots, and arson at Shadman Police Station.
