ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC) Chairman, Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, has resigned from his position.

According to reports, Justice (retd) Siddiqui stepped down due to personal reasons. A notice for termination of his contract has been sent to the President of Pakistan through the Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis.

As per the notice, the notification appointing him as Chairman NIRC was issued on December 2, 2024, and he assumed charge on December 4, 2024. However, due to personal reasons, it has become impossible for him to continue discharging his duties and responsibilities.

Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui stated that a one-month notice is being served for termination of the contract in accordance with Clause XII of the agreement.
