JAMRUD (Dunya News) – At least three terrorists were killed in Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Jamrud area of in the Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, Dunya News reported.

According to a statement issued by the CTD, acting on intelligence information, the department conducted an operation in the Naka Khel area located on Shah Kas Bypass Road in Jamrud, targeting a cell of Fitna al-Khawarij, during which three terrorists were killed.

The CTD said that the slain terrorists were active members of Fitna al-Khawarij and were involved in attacks on security forces, as well as murder, attempted murder, extortion, and other terrorist activities. Three Kalashnikov rifles and explosives were recovered from their possession.

In its statement, the CTD said that the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Additional IG CTD praised the personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams for the successful operation.
