Opposition alliance vowed to continue its Parliament House sit-in until demands for Imran Khan’s meeting with party officials and doctors are accepted.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The opposition alliance Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan has announced that its ongoing sit-in outside Parliament House will not end until its demands are accepted.
Opposition Leader in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said the protest must continue until an opposition office-bearer is allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan. Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai also reaffirmed that the sit-in remains underway.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja stated that the protest will continue until a party representative is granted access to meet Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media at Parliament House, PTI leader Asad Qaiser said that during today’s opposition meeting, Allama Nasir Abbas and Barrister Gohar briefed parliamentarians. He added that consultations with the party’s central leadership are ongoing.
The alliance’s key demand is that Imran Khan’s personal physician be allowed to meet him. Leaders warned that if their demands are not met, the sit-in will continue indefinitely.
Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said PTI leaders will also maintain their protest outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
The protest has entered its fourth day over the issue of Imran Khan’s possible transfer to hospital.
Meanwhile, a medical report regarding Imran Khan’s eye examination has surfaced. According to the report, the check-up was conducted on February 15, 2026, by a board of eye specialists.
The board included Professor Dr Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital and Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Khan from PIMS Islamabad.
