CJ Alia Neelum meets Punjab bar delegations, stressing collaboration, judicial reforms, faster case resolution, and improved facilities for lawyers at district and tehsil levels
LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum stressed the interdependence of the bar and bench, stating that resolving lawyers’ issues is a top priority.
She emphasized that providing timely and transparent justice to litigants requires collective effort from all stakeholders.
Justice Aalia Neelum met with delegations from various district and tehsil bar associations of Punjab, including Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Jhang, Layyah, Lodhran, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad. Presidents and secretaries of tehsil bar associations from Bhira, Kharian, Kabirwala, and Gujar Khan also attended. Registrar Lahore High Court, Amjad Iqbal Ranjha, was present at the meeting.
The discussions focused on challenges faced by lawyers, improvement of court facilities, faster case disposal, and strengthening the judicial system at the district level. Justice Neelum highlighted that practical steps are being taken to address issues at both district and tehsil levels, and attention is being given to providing better facilities for young lawyers. She reaffirmed that judicial reforms will continue to ensure timely and effective delivery of justice.
