ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Canada’s FM Anita Anand on Monday night to exchange views on recent developments, including the US–Iran negotiations held during the Islamabad Talks.
Foreign Minister Anand appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue.
Underscoring the importance of all parties adhering to a ceasefire, DPM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continuing its support for dialogue and diplomacy.
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact.
Earlier, Dar spoke on telephone with the UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Monday.
During the conversation, both dignitaries exchanged views on the recently held direct US-Iran negotiations at the Islamabad Talks, as well as broader regional developments.
The UK foreign secretary appreciated Pakistan's constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Ishaq Dar underscored the need for all parties to fully respect and implement the ceasefire.
