The statement issued by the administration clarified that no orders have been issued for the closure of businesses or transport terminals in the city and urged the citizens not to pay attention to such unconfirmed news.
Shortly before this denial, news spread rapidly on social media and in some circles that all markets and bus stations were being closed in Islamabad due to security concerns for the second round of Iran-US talks.
The Islamabad administration has issued a clarification that all business centres under its jurisdiction will remain open as usual.
