ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday hold a telephonic conversation to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Bannu a day earlier.
During the telephone conversation, the prime minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the attack.
He offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the police personnel martyred in the incident and extended condolences to their families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack.
The premier reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to working closely with provincial governments for the complete eradication of terrorism, saying that every possible support would be provided to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in the fight against militancy.
Shehbaz Sharif said the government remains determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.
PM and KP CM also paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, security agencies, and police personnel engaged in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
