Summary Police challenge judicial custody of alleged facilitators of drug suspect Anmol alias Pinky. Court orders accused to be presented again before magistrate today

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A legal development emerged in the case involving alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, as the judicial custody of her alleged facilitators was challenged in the District and Sessions Court South.

Police filed a review petition against the jail custody order, requesting reconsideration of the earlier court decision regarding the accused.

The court accepted the application and directed authorities to present the accused before Judicial Magistrate South-12 later today.

The accused, Zeeshan Rehman and Sohail Rehman, had earlier been sent to jail on judicial remand. According to officials, both suspects are real brothers.

Pinky's appearance at City Court declared risky; hearing to be held in jail

Meanwhile, police also reached the City Court to present accused Anmol at the Judicial Complex. Investigating officers sought permission from the District and Sessions Judge South regarding her appearance in court.

Police officials informed the court that the accused needed to be presented for obtaining physical remand in multiple cases. However, they argued that presenting her at the City Court could pose security concerns.

The police requested the court to allow Anmol’s appearance at the jail complex instead of bringing her to the City Court premises.
