KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh government has appointed Barrister Ghulam Shabbir Shah as the new prosecutor general of the province.

According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Law Department, Barrister Ghulam Shabbir Shah has formally been appointed to the post.

Ghulam Shabbir Shah is the son of Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah.

The position of prosecutor general became vacant after former Prosecutor General Faiz Shah was elevated as a judge of the Sindh High Court.

Following Faiz Shah’s appointment to the bench, Additional Prosecutor General Muntazir Mehdi had been serving as the acting prosecutor general.

The appointment fills a key legal office responsible for overseeing criminal prosecutions and representing the provincial government in important legal matters.
