Summary Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah ordered foolproof security, sanitation, traffic management and uninterrupted civic services for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal celebrations.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting with religious scholars from different schools of thought and senior officials to review preparations for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, directing authorities to ensure foolproof security and uninterrupted civic services across the province.
The meeting reviewed security, sanitation, traffic management and arrangements for processions and religious gatherings. Murad Ali Shah directed police, Rangers and district administrations to implement a coordinated security plan and complete all arrangements well before the occasion.
The chief minister said protection of participants was the government's top priority and ordered continuous monitoring of security arrangements along procession routes and at religious gatherings.
He also directed relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted supplies of electricity, gas and water at mosques, Imambargahs, procession routes and venues of Milad gatherings. K-Electric, Sui Southern Gas Company, Water Corporation and other departments were instructed to remain fully alert.
Murad Ali Shah ordered a special cleanliness drive before and during 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, with authorities directed to keep procession routes, surrounding areas and public places clean.
He also ordered immediate resolution of drainage and sewerage problems, repair of damaged roads and blocked drains, and clearance of overflowing sewerage lines before the religious occasion.
The Sindh inspector general of police briefed the meeting on the security and traffic plans. The chief minister directed divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, police officers and local government institutions to strengthen coordination and continuously monitor preparations.
Religious scholars from different schools of thought presented proposals regarding security, sanitation, traffic and civic facilities. Murad Ali Shah directed the relevant departments to address their concerns on a priority basis.

The chief minister appreciated the role of religious scholars in promoting inter-sectarian harmony and religious tolerance, saying the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was one of peace, love, tolerance and brotherhood.
He directed authorities to ensure that 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is observed with reverence, respect and religious harmony while resolving problems faced by organisers and citizens without delay.
Senior Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, ministers Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain Shah and Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho and other senior officials attended the meeting.
