Summary Restrictions on transportation and movement of various types of vehicles in South Waziristan Lower, South Waziristan Upper, DI Khan and Tank Dist imposed

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - In view of security concerns, Section 144 has been imposed in various areas of the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The district administration has imposed restrictions on transportation and movement of various types of vehicles in South Waziristan Lower, South Waziristan Upper, Dera Ismail Khan and Tank District.

A ban has been imposed on the movement of loader rickshaws, single and double cabin cargo vehicles, Shehzore, Mazda, Suzuki loaders and dumpers in Wana and Azam Warsak of Lower South Waziristan, which will be in effect from 9pm on October 1 to 9pm on October 10.

Similarly, the movement of loader rickshaws, cargo vehicles, Shehzore, Mazda, Suzuki loaders, tractor trolleys and dumpers has been banned in Upper, which will continue from October 3 to 5.

Traffic has been restricted on Tank Road, Kalachi, Hathala, Kot Atal, Garh Abdullah and several link roads in Dera Ismail Khan.

The ban will be in effect from 6 am to 6 pm from October 4 to 6, while Potta Hathala Bazaar will also remain closed.

A ban has been imposed on the movement of people, passenger and cargo vehicles, and motorcycles on various routes in Tank district, which will be in effect from 9 pm on October 3 to 12 noon on October 5.

Emergency movements permitted by law enforcement agencies, emergency services and security forces will be exempt from the ban. Violators of Section 144 will be prosecuted under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
