Summary Prime minister would take the president into confidence over important decisions, sources say

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are expected to meet on Tuesday to discuss the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and chalk out a course of action, according to sources.

The meeting is likely to take place at the Presidency around 4pm, the sources said.

They said the prime minister would take the president into confidence over important decisions, while recent negotiations and the ongoing political and protest situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would also come under discussion.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is expected to brief the meeting on important engagements and consultations held over the past few days.

Senior leaders from the government and Pakistan Peoples Party, along with legal experts, are also expected to attend the meeting, according to the sources.

The government’s negotiating team will accompany the prime minister, while members of the PPP negotiating team are also expected to participate in the meeting.

The consultations come amid continued political activity and protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the government considering its next course of action regarding the province.
