Summary Balochistan announces winter office timings from October 15, with two weekly holidays for regular government offices.
QUETTA (Web Desk) - The Balochistan government has announced new working hours for government offices during the winter season, effective from October 15, 2026, to April 14, 2027.
According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, government offices will remain open from 8:30am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday, with a break from 1:30pm to 2pm for prayers and lunch.
On Friday, offices will operate from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a break from 1:15pm to 2:15pm for Friday prayers and lunch. Offices will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, providing two weekly holidays.
The new winter timings will not apply to hospitals and educational institutions. Universities, colleges and schools will remain exempt from the schedule.
However, attached offices of the Health and Education Departments will operate on a six-day week. These offices will remain open from 8:30am to 2:30pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, while Friday timings will be from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
