Summary Bahrain’s foreign minister meets Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ, discussing regional security and bilateral defence and security cooperation.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani met Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation and bilateral defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Bahrain, saying the ties between the two countries were based on shared values and mutual respect.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly defence and security.
The Bahraini foreign minister appreciated the professionalism and operational readiness of Pakistan’s armed forces and expressed his resolve to further promote bilateral cooperation.
Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani also acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts and role in promoting regional peace and stability.
