ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a warning to the public regarding fraudulent calls and SMS messages.
It scammers are posing as representatives of the authority, banks, or courier services in an attempt to steal personal information.
The alert advises citizens to remain vigilant and never share their CNIC numbers, OTPs, or passwords with anyone. It also cautions against clicking on unknown or suspicious links.
The PTA has instructed people to report any fraudulent activity or suspicious messages through their official complaint portal at complaint.pta.gov.pk or via the PTA CMS app, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
