ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has said that Pakistan is making rapid progress in robotics, automation and artificial intelligence (AI), with universities, academia, students, industry and institutions working together to build a strong technology ecosystem.
Expressing satisfaction over the successful conclusion of RAS Expo 2026, the minister said the two-day event showcased a wide range of emerging technologies, including industrial automation, mechanical robots, autonomous systems, defence technology, logistics and rescue robots, disaster management solutions, advanced navigation systems and simulators.
She said that the government would continue organising such exhibitions to provide a common platform for young people, educational institutions and industry and promote technology-driven industries in the country.
Shaza Fatima further added that PM has announced $20 million in support for the promotion of robotics and advanced technologies. She said the government had also directed the development of advanced simulators for industry, enabling businesses to practically assess their production processes and benefit more effectively from automation.
