BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Alphabet’s Google has asked an EU court to suspend regulators’ order requiring it to open its search data to OpenAI and rival search engines, escalating its challenge to EU rules targeting Big Tech.

Google said it had applied for an interim measure at the Luxembourg General Court, a day after taking the European Commission to court over the order.

The company is challenging landmark EU rules aimed at curbing the power of major technology firms. The court application seeks to temporarily halt implementation of the regulators’ order while Google’s broader legal challenge proceeds.
