Summary According to reports, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that the Islamic Republic maintains full control over the management of the Strait of Hormuz
TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran has reiterated its authority over the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that all commercial and military vessels transiting the strategic waterway must comply with regulations established by the country's armed forces.
According to Iranian media reports, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that the Islamic Republic maintains full control over the management of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important shipping routes for global energy supplies.
The command said all commercial ships, oil tankers, and other vessels are required to use designated navigation channels and obtain the necessary authorization from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy before passing through the area.
Iranian authorities warned that any breach of these regulations could put maritime traffic and navigation security at risk.
The statement also addressed the presence of foreign military forces in the region, cautioning against any interference in maritime operations or shipping management within the strait.
Iran said it would respond to any actions that challenge its oversight of vessel movements in the waterway, which connects the Persian Gulf to international waters and serves as a critical route for global trade and energy exports.
Earlier, it was reported that US President Donald Trump will only make a peace deal with Iran if it meets all of his conditions.
The White House had indicated Trump was close to a decision on a potential deal, even as Tehran insisted there was still "no final agreement" on ending the Middle East conflict.
An Iranian state media report also rebutted several key elements of Trump's characterisation of the deal, with sources calling his remarks a "mixture of truth and lies."
US sources claimed that the deal was waiting on Trump's sign-off following weeks of halting negotiations over a conflict that has engulfed the Middle East and shaken the global economy.
Trump attended a two-hour meeting in the White House Situation Room on Friday but did not reach a decision.
"President Trump will only make a deal that is good for America and satisfies his red lines," a White House official said.
"Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon," the official added.
