TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said the United States must make clear whether it is prepared to engage in negotiations or intends to disrupt the diplomatic process, stressing that Iran will not bow to pressure or threats.
In an interview, Pezeshkian said Iran was “invincible” and should not be addressed through the language of force and coercion.
He warned that any attack on Iran would draw a strong response, saying those responsible would ultimately have to “pack up their belongings and leave.”
On the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian president said the matter could not be resolved through threats or coercion and should instead be addressed through negotiations.
Pezeshkian said Iran’s only demand was for the United States to return to the memorandum of understanding and honour its commitments.

He questioned how negotiations could resolve disputes when Washington failed to implement agreements that had already been reached.
“If the United States does not adhere to what has already been agreed, how can the issue be resolved through meetings?” Pezeshkian said, questioning how Iran could trust Washington to fulfil its future commitments.
Pezeshkian also criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, questioning how he could seek to change Iran’s government after failing to defeat Hamas in Gaza.
According to Pezeshkian, the United States and Israel believe Iran can be brought down through pressure.
He said, however, that Iran would withstand the challenges and overcome the difficulties it faces.
