KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) became bearish on Thursday and lost 2,207 points during the intra-day trading.
Amid high selling pressure, the KSE-100 index plummeted to 109,728 points at around 2.14 pm.
The PSX saw a positive start in the opening session when the index rose 230 points to 112,165 points. But later it nosedived as investors went on selling spree in sectors like commercial banks, fertilizers, oil and gas exploration companies, and oil marketing companies.
Bear have been running on the PSX during the current week as the KSE-100 index lost 810 points to close at 111,935 on Tuesday. The PSX was in negative zone on Monday also when it shed 1,100 points. The market was closed on Wednesday on account of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
DOLLAR DEPRECIATES
Meanwhile, the US dollar depreciated by 6 paisas to 278.90 against Pakistani rupee in the interbank market.
