 DUBAI (Dunya News) – Pakistan have set 242-run target for India in their Champions Trophy clash in Dubai on Sunday. Pakistan were all out for 241 runs in 49.4 overs.

Half century from Saud Shakeel and 46 runs by Muhammad Rizwan gave some respectability to Pakistan total. Khushdil Shah contributed 38 runs. Now it is up to Pakistan bowlers to defend this total against mighty Indian batting lineup.

Pakistan lost quick wickets after 104-run partnership between Muhammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel was broken by Axar Patel in the 34th over of the Pakistan-India encounter in the Champions Trophy in Dubai on Sunday.

Pakistan lost captain Muhammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel in consecutive overs as Pakistan reached 160/4 in 35 overs. Rizwan was bowled by Axar Patel in the 34th over. Rizwan made 46 runs in 77 balls. In the next over Hardik Pandya removed Saud who made 62 runs.

Tayyab Tahir fell cheaply after scoring just 4 runs followed by Salman Ali Agha who contributed 19 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi went without scoring. Khushdil Shah fell in the last over after making 38 runs.

 

 Earlier, India have removed both Pakistan opener batters, Babar Azam (23) and Imam-ul-Haq (10) inside the first powerplay after conceding 52 runs.

Saud Shakeel (33) and Mohammad Rizwan (24) are batting at the crease. The partnership is 56 of 97 deliveries.

Pakistan on Sunday won the toss against India and decided to bat first in an all-important Champions Trophy match here at the Dubai Stadium.

The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is one of the most intense in sports history. Both the teams are set to clash in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan have made one change to the squad bringing in Imam-ul-Haq in place of injured opener Fakhar Zaman. India kept their side unchanged that demolished Bangladesh by five wickets.

Pakistan will be without the services of the architect of 2017 Champions Trophy Final, Fakhar Zaman who injured himself in the first match of the tournament against New Zealand.
