Suspected robber killed in Bahawalnagar 'encounter'

BAHAWALNAGAR (Dunya News) – Police on Sunday claimed to have eliminated a hardcore robber wanted in 45 cases of heinous crimes during an encounter, Dunya News reported.
According to Crime Control Department (CCD), three robbers riding three bikes opened fire on police at a checkpoint.
Police engaged them, killing one suspect identified as Javaid. His two accomplices escaped under the cover of darkness.
A bike, stolen goods and weapons were seized from the dead suspect. The body was shifted to hospital for medicolegal procedure. He was wanted by different police stations.
A manhunt was launched for the fleeing suspects. Police were collecting forensic evidence and recording statements from the locals to know the whereabouts about the fleeing suspects.
