Sindh Interior Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar ordered an investigation into alleged robbery and hostage-taking by plainclothes officials in Sarjani Town, demanding strict action.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Sindh Interior Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar has taken strict notice of an alleged robbery involving plainclothes officials riding in a vehicle without a number plate in Sarjani Town, as well as an incident in CIA Garden where citizens were reportedly held hostage and released in exchange for money.
The Interior Minister directed the DIG CIA and SSP West to immediately provide complete details of the matter. He also ordered the formation of a dedicated and responsible team to conduct a thorough investigation.
Lanjar stated that “black sheep” within the police force are unacceptable under any circumstances. He instructed that officers and personnel found guilty of criminal activity must be blacklisted.
The minister further ordered that the looted goods and valuables taken from the trader should be returned in accordance with rules and regulations. He demanded an early report on the progress of the inquiry and called for a list of names of the officials involved in the incident.
