THUL (Dunya News) – Police on Saturday registered a case against 32 persons and arrested five of them for burning houses over a marriage contracted by choice.

The relatives of Sidra burnt houses of the relatives of Muhammad Hassan, who had left their houses for fear of attacks after the marriage. When they were away from their homes, the assailants armed with weapons burnt their houses and valuables and fled.
The bride rejected allegations against her that she stole valuables from her house before leaving. She said in a court in Hyderabad she married Muhammad Hassan, but now they were facing life threats, and saw their life in danger, urging the relevant authority to give them protection.
Police have registered a case under terrorism clauses against those who burnt houses and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
