LAHORE (Dunya News) - A man allegedly shot dead his wife and three members of her family before taking his own life in Lahore’s Barkat Colony area of Chuhng on Tuesday.
Rescue officials said the incident occurred when 25-year-old Imran arrived at his in-laws’ home and allegedly opened fire following a domestic dispute.
According to police, Imran had married Samia around six months ago. She had returned to her parents’ home following disagreements with her husband, who reportedly wanted her to return with him.
Police said the suspect shot Samia in the head after she refused to accompany him. He then allegedly killed her father in-law, Ali Khan, mother in-law, Shamaila, and brother in-law, Zeeshan.
After the shootings, Imran allegedly turned the weapon on himself and died by suicide.
Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
