SARGODHA (Dunya News) – A Naib Tehsildar and a clerk allegedly fled the court premises after their bail applications were rejected in a case involving the alleged fraudulent transfer of 60 kanals of valuable government land.
According to the Anti-Corruption Establishment spokesperson, the Special Judge Anti-Corruption rejected the bail applications filed by the two accused officials.
The spokesperson said that immediately after the bail pleas were dismissed, both accused allegedly took advantage of the situation and escaped from the court premises.
The officials are accused of allegedly transferring 60 kanals of government land through fraudulent documentation and unlawful procedures, according to the Anti-Corruption Establishment.
Following their alleged escape, teams have been formed to arrest the two accused. The department said raids were being conducted at different locations as part of efforts to trace and apprehend them.
The allegations remain subject to the ongoing legal proceedings, and the accused will have the opportunity to contest the charges in court.
