(Web Desk) - In a surprising turn of events, Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane tied the knot with fellow actor Ameer Gilani on Wednesday evening.
The couple had long been rumoured to be in a relationship, but they had continuously called each other as friends, especially after starring together in the 2023 drama ‘Neem’ and the 2020 drama ‘Sabaat’.
The news started circulating the night before, with tweets claiming that the two were set to marry. By Wednesday evening, Hocane confirmed the rumours with a photo of herself and Gilani in wedding dress at Lahore Fort.
Her caption simply read, "and in the middle of chaos… I found you," along with the date and the cheerful hashtag #MawraAmeerHoGayi.
Hocane looked stunning in a sky-blue lehenga paired with a short shirt of the similar colour, featuring a colourful border and intricate pale gold embroidery with pink accents.
Gilani enhanced her look in a charcoal-colored shalwar kameez, waistcoat, and shawl, with a touch of color from his tan Peshawari chapals.
The post received heartfelt congratulations from fans and their fellow stars, including Hocane’s sister, Urwa, and her brother-in-law, Farhan Saeed.
