(Web Desk) - There is no evidence of billionaire Elon Musk posting on X that accounts protesting against US President Donald Trump’s administration would be suspended from the platform.

An image shared online showed a post with the text, “Anyone protesting the Trump Administration will be suspended from X. All anti-Trump drama can go to a liberal echo chamber like Threads, Reddit, BlueSky, Instagram, and Facebook.”

The post in the image has no timestamp, but displays Musk’s authentic profile image and handle, “@elonmusk.”

However, the image has only a “follow” button where an authentic Musk post displays a “subscribe” button alongside the xAI logo in the top right corner, as seen in a Reuters comparison.

The image was re-shared with captions such as, “So much for free speech” and “Free speech absolutist, wants you to know Twitter is now state run media.”

No such post appears on Musk’s official X account. There are also no reliable reports of his sharing such a post.

X did not respond to a request for comment.
