According to hospital sources, the number of children who died from the measles epidemic in a week has reached four. More than two dozen children from different areas, including six children from the same family, are undergoing treatment in private hospitals.
Locals demanded that sick children be vaccinated to control the measles epidemic. Citizens have appealed to higher authorities to take action on an emergency basis.
The Health Department said people should avoid home remedies and bring children infected with measles to the hospital, as home remedies can be fatal for children.
