PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Dengue cases continue to increase in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 142 new infections reported across the province during the past 24 hours, according to the health department.
The latest cases have taken the total number of confirmed dengue infections in the province to 2,912, while 174 patients are currently undergoing treatment, officials said.
As many as 2,738 patients have recovered from the virus so far, while no dengue-related death was reported during the last 24 hours.
According to the district-wise data, Kohat remains the worst-affected district, with the total number of confirmed cases reaching 1,824.
Peshawar has reported 419 cases, followed by Bannu with 122, Khyber district with 101, Haripur with 77, and Charsadda with 54 cases.
The health department said no death from dengue has been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so far this year.
