Constitutional amendment package will be at the centre of the meeting
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A five-member delegation of PTI leaders will meet party founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail on Saturday (today), after the government granted them permission to visit their incarcerated leader.
It is expected that the party leaders will discuss the much-hyped constitutional amendment package with the founder and seek guidance on the issue.
The delegation includes Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Hamid Raza, Barrister Ali Zafar and Asad Qaiser
After the much-awaited meeting, PTI will make its constitutional amendment package and share it with other political parties.
Earlier, PTI information secretary Sheikh Waqas has said the government wants to appoint SC chief justice of its choice, adding PTI founder’s guidance is vital for the party on the issue.
Sheikh Waqas said, “We trust all our MNAs. They stand with PTI founder Imran Khan. They will not vote in favour of the constitutional amendment package. The government wanted to ban PTI.”
