President, PM pay tribute to martyrs of attack in Bannu

According to ISPR, a major and two soldiers embraced martyrdom in Bannu operation
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to the martyred personnel of the Pakistan Army.
According to the ISPR, In the Bakkakhel area of Bannu, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO). During the fierce battle between army personnel and terrorists, Maj Atif Khalil, Naik Azadullah and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas embraced martyrdom.
The president saluted martyrs on behalf of the entire nation and resolved the unwavering support of nation for security forces against terrorism.
“The entire nation unanimously supports its armed forces against coward terrorists. Our security forces are fully alert to keep the country secured,” said the president.
The PM, who is on an official two-day visit to Qatar, also conveyed his condolences to the families of martyrs.
“We are determined to eradicate terrorism and all its manifestations from the country,” the PM affirmed.
Both leaders also prayed for the higher ranks of martyrs in paradise.
