ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of missing persons’ recovery case until the first week of March, summoning Attorney General Mansoor Awan for assistance in the next hearing.

During the proceedings, advocate Imaan Mazari urged the court not to grant the government more time and hold responsible individuals accountable.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir responded that the entire process aimed to determined accountability.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani highlighted that missing persons must be either legally prosecuted or released, warning that the state’s workings would be exposed otherwise.

The court also directed authorities to submit performance report every 15 days and mandated the Attorney General’s personal appearance at the next hearing on March 6.
