KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori described Pakistan as a great blessing, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to ensure the country’s progress.

Addressing a Friday gathering at Eidgah Sharif Ground, he highlighted the historical significance of the mosque, noting that even Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had prayed there.

"Eidgah Sharif stands as a symbol of our religious and cultural identity," he remarked, stressing the essential role of mosques in the promotion of Islamic teachings.

"Islam is a complete code of life, and its guidance is vital for Pakistan’s development," he stated.

Reflecting on recent challenges, the governor spoke about the natural disasters that have struck Karachi and Sindh. "Many times, we have heard warnings of storms approaching Karachi. The floods in Sindh were so devastating that even the world took notice. Yet, despite these hardships, we have remained resilient," he said.

Governor Tessori called for greater unity and reconciliation, urging people to mend broken relationships. "Many of us hold grudges for years, even with close relatives. It is time to seek forgiveness and rebuild these bonds," he advised.

He also stressed the need to cultivate empathy and kindness, drawing a metaphor: "Just as we prefer drinking clean water, we must purify our hearts by removing negativity and fostering love and understanding."
