KARACHI (Dunya News) - Nine people, including women and children, lost their lives and seven sustained injuries on roads in 24 hours on Thursday.

In Malir area, a man and his son died after a tanker hit them. A woman, who is stated to be the mother of the boy, was also injured in accident.

In Ghulistan-e-Johar, a dumper crushed three persons to death. A man was also injured in a crash.

Police have arrested the owner of the dumper. He was identified as Usman.

In Malir, a speeding bus rammed into a roadside house, killing a woman and a child and injuring a person.

Earlier, speaking at a press conference, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori said bloody dumpers were rampant in the city, risking the lives of people.

He stressed the traffic police to improve situation on roads before the citizens take action themselves to stop heavy vehicles on roads.
