May 9 cases: indictment proceedings against Omar Ayub, key PTI leaders adjourned
SARGODHA (Dunya News) - Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and several other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders could not appear in their indictment proceedings on Friday.
Their lawyers filed petition citing what he called 'genuine reasons' over their absence from the court. The court postponed the hearing and ordered the suspects to appear in the next hearing.
The hearing in the May 9 incident was held in an anti-terrorism court in Sargodha in which NA Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan, Opposition Leader Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar, Bilal Ejaz Chatha, Sanam Javed and Aliya Hamza could not appear in the court.
The court adjourned the cases of Police stations Musakhel and Kamar Mashani till February 14 while the case of police station Mianwali deferred till February 22.
