LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has announced the implementation of its initiative to provide free plots to homeless individuals.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the allocation of 3-marla plots to deserving and needy families.
In the first phase, 1,892 plots will be distributed across 33 schemes in 22 districts.
Rawalpindi Division will receive 685 plots across five schemes, Faisalabad Division will get 288 plots in four schemes, while Lahore Region’s three districts will be allocated 518 plots in five schemes.
Other regions, including Bhakkar, Multan, and Bahawalpur, will also benefit from this initiative.
The scheme covers areas such as Chiniot, Jhang, Okara, Bhakkar, Vehari, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, and more.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasised that providing shelter to the underprivileged is not an act of charity but a fundamental responsibility of the government.
