CJP convenes JCP meeting for LHC judges' appointments

Out of eight nominated sessions judges, four will be appointed additional judges of LHC
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has convened a Judicial Commission of Pakistan meeting on Feb 28 to finalise appointments for Lahore High Court (LHC) judges.
Out of the eight nominated sessions court judges, four will be appointed as additional judges of the LHC.
The proposed names include sessions judge Raja Nazir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Qaiser Nazir Butt, Muhammad Akmal Khan, and Tajveer Ahmed Sheikh.
Additionally, sessions judges Jazeela Aslam, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Shahid Saeed, and Abhar Gul Khan are also under consideration.
The commission will review these nominations before finalising the appointments.
