Court grants time for police report on plea against PM, others

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A district and sessions court in Islamabad heard a petition seeking the registration of a case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others.
During the hearing, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka presided over the petition filed under Section 22-A. The station house officer (SHO) of Secretariat police station requested additional time to submit his report.
Granting the request, the court postponed the hearing until Feb 24.
The petitioner, Gul Khan, claimed his son was allegedly murdered at D-Chowk on Nov 26 and was seeking the registration of an FIR against the prime minister, the interior minister, and other officials.
